Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse Expert
Anna was a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario from 1982-2020, dedicating most of her career to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Anna started out at a Hospital for Sick Children, in Ontario caring for neonates on a surgical floor. She then shifted her focus to specializing in Adult Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) at a large centre where she also joined the Adult Transport Team. Eventually Anna returned to care for the most fragile critically and chronically ill neonates as staff nurse in the NICU at a large centre in Ontario where she worked as Resuscitation Nurse, and Neonatal Transport Nurse. Anna was incredibly involved in her position as she was preceptor to new staff, IV Nurse and for 3 years she assisted in developing a Neonatal Intensive Care Transport Conference for community hospitals. Anna retired from her NICU nursing position in 2018.
